This man is suing the city’s government over pickleball ban

Plus: Pickleball reaches the Caribbean

suing will make it better

Hello, folks! This is Picklewho, the #1 pickleball news blog, and sadly… This is our final post.

It’s been a wild ride.

Thanks for all the good memories, the jokes we cracked, the news we shared.

We’ll see you again…

Tomorrow. This is our final post of the day. We are not abandoning this ship now or NEV----

Well, until The Last of Us turns out to be a documentary. In such a case, we’ll definitely abandon it. As for now, this is the news!

  • Raising star is one step away from gold in the Red Rock Open.

  • Pickleball reaches the Caribbean: this top resort offers brand-new courts!

  • This man is suing the city’s government over pickleball ban.

Red Rock Open gets dominated by a new promise!

The state of Utah has witnessed extraordinary events over the course of history, such as the Mormon Wars, or the filming of High School Musical. However, these are nothing compared to the PPA Red Rock Open in St. George, where players like Tyson McGuffin, Pablo Tellez, and Catherine Parenteau are one step away from the title.

McGuffin is already a veteran of the pickleball scenario, but Tellez, his adversary in the finals, is the tournament’s underdog. He only lost one game in the semifinals against Jay Devilliers… And then proceeded to win every subsequent game to win the match.

We don’t know what will happen in the finals, but as a wise man called Troy Bolton once said, “we’re all in this together”. We’ll see! America loves an underdog.

This Caribbean resort got crazy for pickleball

The Four Seasons Resort, better known as the hotel I’m hoping to afford in my 80s, debuted four pickleball courts in its Nevis Island venue. Nevis is a Caribbean island, you know, the one next to… That other island, and that other island.

Has anyone seen my map???????

Guests who stay in the hotel during the opening week will have the opportunity to play a group tournament too. So screw it, I’m spending my kid’s college fund. We’re going to Nevis.

This man is suing a city over pickleball

Remember the whole Centennial city drama? If you don’t, it’s okay, I don't remember what I had for breakfast today. In summary, the city approved a six-month ban on pickleball. That’s it! And we have an update.

The lawsuit is in the hands of Christopher Evans, president of the HOA of the Willows neighborhood. According to him, the neighborhood already paid a contractor to build new pickleball courts before the ban. But now that they’re potentially losing their investment, a lawsuit is coming… and he wants to win it.

I know a man for that. His name is Saul Goodman. Give him a call, Mr. Evans!
