Pickleball might kill both your marriage and career

Wazzzzup! This is PickleWho, the CNN of Pickleball news…at least according to its writer/editor/handsome guy/superb worker. And that’s an objective opinion, if you ask me.

Now, let’s get into the latest news of the sport that’s becoming America’s top obsession since Lost. Let’s only hope it has a better ending.

  • Sports channels hate women’s sports, but hey, at least they love Pickleball!

Sports channels hate women’s sports, but hey, at least they love Pickleball!

In the words of the famous poet Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Pickleball is life”, and we stand by it. So when it comes to the sport’s growth, almost any news makes us cheer like a boy watching the three Spider-men fight side-by-side in the world’s dumbest movie.

Little boy = 35-year-old writer.

However, in this particular case, great news for us might mean bad news for others. You see, Mr. Emerson also said: “Pickleball is feminist”. And now major sports networks like ESPN and CBS will broadcast dozens of hours of Pickleball…

But they still won’t cover the most popular women’s sports. No tennis, no soccer. Not cool. So, if Mr. and Mrs. ESPN are reading this (and I know they are longtime fans!), consider giving them a try as well.

New theory suggests Pickleball might kill both your marriage and career

Pickleball is the most entertaining sport since the dawn of mankind, but it somehow keeps adding layers of excitement. This time? A ghost story!

Rumor has it that Pickleball is that at least 4 players who showed public support for Pickleball have either withdrawn or were eliminated from the Australian Open due to poor performances. These include Nick Kyrgios –who owns a pickleball club–, Taylor Fritz –who supported pickleball in an interview–, and Paula Badosa –who drank pickle juice during a match and that’s…Close enough?–.

And let’s not forget that Tom Brady invested in Pickleball, got divorced and ended up a season with a losing record for the first time ever!

So folks…take care.

Arizona says hi to Pickleball, baby!

FINALLY! Pickleball found a new hosting city for this year’s tournament, and it’s none other than Mesa, Arizona! And guess who is taking the sport to the city? Former Arizona Cardinals player and Pickleball lover (picklelover??), Larry Fitzgerald. Great news if you’re from Mesa… And maybe Tempe and Gilbert too.
