Pickleball Paddles for Children

for the children

Hello, everyone! This is Picklewho, the #1 website for pickleball news written by a guy on an “intermittent fasting” diet. I would kill Ben Johns for a cheeseburger.

Anyways, here’s the news!

  • Bad news for Centennials: city council approves a ban on pickleball.

  • Resorts all over the country are thirsting for pickleball.

  • This Hmong-American entrepreneur is creating paddles for children!

I’m sorry, Centennials…

Last week, we informed you how the city of Centennial, Colorado was about to vote on a controversial ban on pickleball…and it passed. The Centennial City Council just approved a six-month ban on the construction of pickleball courts around residential areas.

How the heck do they want prices to go up, then? Ugh.

On one hand, I get it: they want to research if there’s any way of reducing the noise, but on the other hand (the left), it’s a terrible precedent that might affect other cities in the future.

The moratorium was approved in an 8-1 vote, and to you, the only guy who voted against it, you're a true national pickleball hero. We’ll call you “Pickleman”.

Resorts want all that pickleball money, baby…

Decades ago, Britney Spears wrote “Do you want a piece of me?” to honor pickleball’s future craze, as now every business seems to want a piece of that pickleball revenue. And so do I, I guess.

Resorts and hotels are the latest to jump on the pickleball-boat (pickleboat?) by adding courts so that visitors can play during their vacations. And some like the Hilton New Orleans Riverside are even offering pro services to attract locals who just want to play on a nice court next to overpaid tiktokers who get paid $1 million to drink margaritas.

By the way, if one of you ever needs an assistant, I’m in.

A Hmong-American entrepreneur is transforming pickleball

Fuyei Xaykaothao isn’t only the man with the most complex name we've had to write in this blog, he’s also the creator of PikNija, a paddle brand that’s quite innovative. Why? Well…

1) Mr. Xaykaothao’s brand targets a younger population than the rest of its competitors. You know, the kind of young adults that can run around the court for more than 15 minutes without calling a time off. The 17 year-olds-kind of young adults.

2) In its search for appealing to even younger people, PikNinja is hosting pickleball clinics to teach children how to play the game.

If Mr. Xaykaothao ends up being the reason why an 8 year-old beats me in a 1v1, I won’t complain…because then I’d have an excuse.
