Meet the official pickleball tires

#wheels_are_not_rims

Hello, folks! This is Picklewho, the ultimate source for pickleball content and movie recommendations. Today’s advice is: if you don’t want to spend the next 1-2 business days crying, don’t watch The Whale. Does anyone have a tissue? Or 2 tons of tissues? No? Alright…

Back to pickleball news:

  • Celebrity Cruises: go for travel, stay for pickleball.

  • Meet pickleball’s official tires (or something like that?).

  • What happens in Las Vegas doesn’t stay in Las Vegas

Celebrity Cruises will add pickleball courts

Celebrity Cruises, a traveling company that DON’T feature any actual celebrities (I spent my savings expecting at least a Jenna Ortega and all I got was… dolphins?), is now adding pickleball courts to 9 of their cruise ships.

In case that’s your dream vacation, these are the cruises: Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Solstice, and Celebrity Summit.

And that’s the most times the word “celebrity” will ever appear on our website.

Fortune Tires enter the pickleball game!

I don’t know anything about cars. I’m the type of person that will ask their mechanic if gas is actually necessary for the car. But hey, now that Fortune Tires became the official tire sponsor of USA Pickleball, maybe I’ll finally learn something!

This partnership includes the promotion of pickleball through events, tournaments and training programs; and the chance to win prizes through the company’s social media. We don’t know if the prizes include tires or pickleball pads, but whatever it is, it sounds like a fair trade!

Unless you don’t have a car, in which case I’d go for the paddle. Heck, always go for the paddle

What happens in Vegas, stays…everywhere

If there’s something I know about Las Vegas, is 1) you should never take roofies to a bachelor party unless you want to end up stealing Mike Tyson’s tiger and 2) the city has growing pickleball scene.

For starters, back in 2019 the Plaza Hotel & Casino inaugurated the first pickleball complex in Las Vegas, while also welcoming the Las Vegas Pickleball Open. Now, there are dozens of courts available to play the sport all over the city… And who knows, maybe drink a couple (or a dozen) margaritas in the process.
