How to play pickleball every single day

Plus: Pickleball helps kids in need

it’s an every day thing

Hello, everyone! This is Picklewho, the place where you’ll find pickleball news, and occasional diet advice. Today’s suggestion is: instead of “I’m unemployed and that’s why my fridge only has two tomatoes and a slice of cheddar”, say “I’m into intermittent fasting”.

Without further ado, here’s the news:

  • MLB games to include pickleball somehow

MLB to add pickleball before games

Exactly as you read it. Tonight’s Arizona Diamondbacks game against the Milwaukee Brewers will feature a Pickleball Expo with Tyson McGuffin, reigning champion of the Carvana PPA Tour.

We don’t know if it’ll be a game or simple promotion for the sport, but whatever it is, let McGuffin play. It doesn’t matter if it’s baseball. For whichever team. Even better: if it’s baseball, make him swing with a pickleball paddle. It’s a secure home run.

Pickleball tournament to help the kids

On April 29th, Jubilee City, Alabama, will host a tournament to raise funds for “KidzEatz” NGO. This organization provides food, school supplies, and even new tennis shoes and socks for kids in need.

So, if you’re from Alabama, I’m sure this is the best plan for the day, as there will be food trucks, yard games, raffles, music and the chance to brag with your friends because you are a better person than them.

DIY: build your own court!

If you love to build and fix stuff by yourself, great news:

1) You’re a better person than I am. I once tried to assemble a desk and had to flee out of town. Don’t ask why.

2) Here’s a guide on how to build your own pickleball court.

First, be certain that you don’t live in an apartment.

Cool. Now you need at least 30 by 60 feet of space available though the more, the merrier.

Then, you need a nice surface such as concrete, asphalt, or a compacted stone base with a rubberized surface work, but if you don’t have any, consider some interlocking tiles.

You also require a net that’s 22 feet wide and 36 inches high at the center. Anything bigger is tennis, anything smaller is a court suited only for Peter Dinklage. A royal court if you ask me.

You can find the rest of the steps here.
