What’s up, everybody? This is PickleWho, #1 pickleball blog and provider of controversial takes. In today’s opinion, cereal is just a snack, not breakfast. And if the cereal is Kellogg's Special K, that isn’t even food unless you are a crow.

By the way, here's the news!

DIY: how to make your paddle USAP-Approved

After a couple of tournament forfeits and some controversy regarding delamination, we know that USA Pickleball is dead serious with paddle regulations. So before USAP kicks someone out of the country for a paddle issue, let’s dive into some suggestions to enter the business, though it is a tricky process:

1) Start with an in-house paddle and ball testing equipment to get your product as close to regulations as possible.

2) Send six samples of your final product to USAP with the “USA Pickleball Competition” seal.

3) DON’T MAKE ANY DESIGN CHANGES DURING THE APPROVAL PROCESS. Sorry, I was held up at gunpoint to write it all in caps.

4) Pay the $1,500 certification fee

5) Wait 4-6 weeks

6) Give it about 10 prayers

7) Ask for grandma’s blessing

8) You’re good to go.

Chess Champion and Basketball Stars invest in MLP

The MLP is known for having serious investors, such as Mark Cuban, Lebron James and half of the Kardashians. Probably, they own a lot.

Even so, the league keeps adding juice to their bank accounts. NBA star Jayson Tatum invested in Los Angeles Mad Drops, Zach LaVine acquired the Miami Pickleball Club and Magnus Carlsen, five-time World Chess Champion, is the new co-owner of AZ Drive, along with Michael Phelps and Devin Booker.

And yes, I’m also realizing that chess players can be rich. Had I only studied it when I was five.

Here’s how to master your third shot in doubles

When playing singles, the strategy to win a third shot is fairly simple: know the difference between a drop and a drive.I know the difference and still lose games, though that’s just a me issue.

Still, what do you do when playing mixed doubles? According to the GOAT Simone Jardim, this is what you should do:

- Bear in mind that men usually pinch the middle in mixed doubles. So, drop the ball to their side to keep them busy. If they play left, aim for their left foot, and so on. Never let them approach the middle of the net.

- Drive at the forehand hip. This trick usually works against female players (she said it herself, so, this doesn’t count as sexism).

- Attack with a two-handed backhand against the backhand slide to force an awkward response. Don’t let them breathe…

Figuratively speaking. We don’t want anyone to press charges.
