Hello everybody! Welcome to PickleWho, the #1 pickleball blog on the internet. Sorry if you notice a drop in the usual energy of today’s post: my Spotify shuffled a bunch of Adele songs and I’m just sad. You might say “well, you could’ve pressed skip!”, but she basically restrained my ability to press the button.

On the bright side, here’s the news!

Billionaire goes all in on pickleball

NBA fans are likely familiar with Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry, yet the average white family would say, we’re not here to discuss basketball, so don’t you dare begin mentioning Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Setting aside yout PTSD, Lasry just announced the sale of his Bucks’s stake to set a new sight on pickleball 24/7. His first step was investing $100,000 to buy the Milwaukee Mashers and now the MLP team is worth $10 million. I tried to do the same with Bitcoin, but it was too late and I lost all my savings.

How much time will pass until I’m able to save $10?

From regular worker to pickleball pro

Erik Lange is a US Open and PPA Tour champion. Maybe you already knew that, yet I’m sure you didn’t know that he was also a part-time sales executive. Yes, just like any sales worker, Lange had a desk job and used rave parties to free himself from the pain.

No more though. Lange resigned to focus 100% on his pickleball career. And he’ll start playing the PPA Atlanta Open along with DJ Young in men’s doubles and Judit Castillo in mixed doubles. He’s that good and I just hope he’s happy now.

Lob shot strategy for the win

Lob shots are as dangerous as 3am in Detroit. So, you should be prepared to attack and defend yourself, in both scenarios. Sadly, we can only help with the first with top advice from our friends at The Dink:

  1. Direct your attack shot to your opponent’s backhand shoulder.

  2. If the ball bounces behind the other team, run in, and stay alert to win that point quickly.

  3. Short steps are the key to defense.

  4. Don't let the ball hit the ground and slide if necessary.

  5. Put your pinky rings up to the moon.

  6. Girls, what y'all trying to do?

  7. Twenty-four karat magic in the ai-

Sorry. I got carried away by Bruno Mars's swagger. It happens.

P.S.: If Mr. Dink doesn’t consider us friends…they are rude.
