A-Game is named the official drink of the US Pickleball Championship

Stay hydrated

Hello, everyone! This is Picklewho, the #1 website to stay up-to-date with all things pickleball. We're like Twitter for pickleball, but without the fighting, the bullying, and, sadly, the feet pics.

Without further ado, here is today’s news!

  • This NCAA coach is secretly in love with pickleball.

  • A-Game is named the official drink of the US Pickleball Championship.

  • USA Pickleball adds +30 and +40 divisions!

This NCAA coach plays pickleball!

Let's be honest, we all watch the NCAA for two reasons:

  • To watch an NBA game five years into the future and say, “Oh, I watched him when he was in college; he's ok.”

  • To watch our favorite university beat the university that rejected our applications.

And now we can add “one of the coaches LOVES pickleball” to the list. That man is Tommy Lloyd, Arizona head coach, and secret pickleball lover. As told by himself, he’s mostly a “third shot kind of guy”, which means that just like me, he’s not that good.

Guess who’ll be watching every Arizona game this season?

A-Game takes over the US Pickleball Championship

A-Team (A.K.A. the sports drink you buy when there’s no Gatorade), partnered with Minto US Open Pickleball Championship to become the official drink of the most prestigious pickleball tournament in the world.

The brand will be available in concession stands all over the tournament courts to offer free samples throughout the championship games, and oh boy, that’s where they got me: if there’s something I love almost as much as pickleball, it's free stuff.

So, from now on we’ll call Gatorade “the sports drink you buy when there’s no A-Game”.

+30 and +40 players now have their own divisions!

This news was way overdue. Before this announcement, +30 and +40 players were being demolished in pickleball courts by younger players because previous division brackets were 19+, 35+, 50+, and above.

If you’ve ever played pickleball against someone 10 years younger, you know they have an unfair advantage because +30 kneecaps are like an absent father: they only live in memories. But now we get to play with people with the same lack of kneecaps as us!

That’s fair play
